Show empty drives in Windows Explorer

If you have devices that can be empty (such as memory card readers) than you might not see them in Windows Explorer. There is a way to show those devices even if they are empty.


Here is how to show empty drives in Windows Explorer:

  • Start Windows Explorer and press Alt.
  • Click Tools.
  • Click Folder Options.
  • Click View.
  • Under Advanced settings uncheck the box next to Hide empty drives in the Computer folder.
  • Click OK.

Now all your drives will be visible all the time.
