Launch taskbar apps with the keyboard

A really fast way to launch applications is to put them in the taskbar (on the side where the start menu is or used to be).

Then, to launch them, simply press the Windows key and the number that corresponds to the position of the application on the taskbar.

So, Windows key in combination with 1 launches the left-most application on the taskbar, Windows key and 2 the second left-most application and so on.

Not only can you launch these applications without using the mouse, but it is a very fast and intuitive way to do so.
