If a web browser runs in private mode, it will not save history, searches, cookies, and other private data between browsing sessions. So it will have great impact on your browsing comfort.

But if you want to make sure, Internet Explorer doesn´t save any private data, put it in private mode.

Here is how to always start Internet Explorer in private mode:

  • Right-click on the Internet Explorer shortcut you always use to start Internet Explorer and select Properties.
  • In the Target box, move your cursor to the right end add a space and then the following
-private
  • Click OK.

That´s it, Internet Explorer will from now on start in private mode if you start it with the shortcut you just edited.
