When you hover your mouse over the icons in the taskbar you can see thumbnail previews of all open windows. But there is some delay you might want to speed up.

Here is how to speed up the display of thumbnails on the taskbar:

  • Hit the Windows key.
  • Type regedit and hit enter to open the registry editor.
  • Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Mouse.
  • Double-click MouseHoverTime.
  • Change the default value of 400 (milliseconds) to something smaller like 100.
  • Click OK and exit the Registry Editor.
  • Restart your computer for the change to take effect.

The thumbnails will now display much faster.
