Not everyone lives in an area where there are many 3DS devices. These people therefore cannot get as many StreetPasses as they would like. But you can emulate a StreetPass terminal using an Android device.

Here is how to set up a StreetPass relay with an Android phone:

  • First of all, you have to have root access to your device.
  • Download a hex editor.
  • Edit the file /pds/wifi/wlan_mac.bin with this hex editor. Depending on your version of Android, the location of the file may be different.
  • Change the MAC address within this file to one of the following:
  • Reboot your device.
  • Share your WiFi using the SSID attwifi.

If everything works out, you should get a Mii every 8 hours.
